Here you’ll find the most asked questions and answers about our buggy cleaning service.

Where are you located?

The Buggy Valet is located at The Old School in the lovely Leek Wootton, Warwickshire, situated between Warwick, Kenilworth, and Leamington Spa. We cover all of Warwickshire and most of the West Midlands. If you don’t live within these areas contact us about our courier service. We can be tricky to find so look out for the property with the lilac door and beehives.

What is your cleaning method?

We have a six-step cleaning method for all buggy and pushchair cleans. This includes removal of all debris and dirt from each nook and cranny; launder or shampoo and wet extraction; stain and spot treatments applied; buggy chassis and wheels washed, buffed and polished; reassembly, equipment checks, and lubrication; the entire buggy is then steam cleaned to fully sanitise and kill off any lingering bacteria.

How long will it take to clean my pushchair?

We ask for 48 hours as standard – this is to allow for fabrics to dry and for us to work on any stubborn stains after. However, we can work quicker than this, so if you need a quicker buggy clean, just let us know. On the other hand, you may want us to hold onto your equipment for a couple days longer until you’re ready for its return – either way, we’re happy to accommodate.

How far in advance do I need to book in my pram clean?

We do get booked up very quickly and our next available slots are often a couple of months ahead. If you want a pushchair clean because you’re expecting and want your buggy or car seat cleaned in anticipation of your new arrival, we’d suggest booking in six weeks ahead of your due date. While we’re usually booked up weeks in advance, if you need your pushchair cleaned more urgently, always get in touch – we’ll do our very best to squeeze you in as soon as we can, it might just mean we have to jiggle our diary around a little.

What equipment do you clean?

We’re happy to put our hands to cleaning all sorts of baby equipment! Most of our customers turn to us for buggy, pushchair, pram or stroller cleans, or to have their car seats freshened up. But we will also gladly tackle high chairs, travel cots, sleepyheads, jumperoos – you just name it.

Will you clean my accessories as well?

Yes, it’s all included as part of the price to clean your buggy, so feel free to handover your footmuffs, cup holders, car seat adaptors, shades and rain covers, and we’ll give them the same ‘Hinch’ treatment.

Why should we have our buggy professionally cleaned?

We’ve written a whole blog post about this but in summary we find that most of our customers are either expecting and want to freshen up their buggy or equipment for baby number 2, 3, 4… or they have bought a pushchair second-hand and want to ensure it’s fully clean and sanitised, or they want to sell and maximise the price they get for their pram.

Buggies are expensive pieces of kit, not too mention they’re extremely fiddly to clean so they need to be treated with care and attention. As professional cleaners, we can take this mucky task off your hands. We have the best equipment and products to tackle your buggy and ensure its baby-ready for when you need it.

Are you insured?

Yes, we’re fully insured to give you peace of mind that if you get your pushchair cleaned by us, we’re fully covered.

Can you treat mould?

We can treat mould but bear in mind that depending on the severity of the issue we cannot guarantee that we can fully remove it. After assessing the condition of your pushchair, we’ll work through a three-stage treatment until the mould is removed. In severe cases we may need to use a chlorine solution.

Again, we’ve written a blog post about the steps you can take to prevent your buggy getting mouldy and keep it clean.

Do you offer buggy repairs as well as a cleaning service?

We don’t offer pushchair repairs as standard currently, instead we assess on a case-by-case basis. If you need a repair or a fault investigating, such as part replacements, scratch removal, please get in touch and we’ll advise if we’re able to help and provide a bespoke quote.
